Multi-Modal Tansport
Local standard terms and conditions
Blue Water renders its services in accordance with local standard terms and conditions, such as ADSp (Germany), NSAB 2000 or NSAB 2015 (Scandinavia), BIFA (UK) or Fenex (Netherlands), depending on which local Blue Water branch is your contractual part.
A copy of the local terms and conditions for a specific Blue Water branch is available on request.
Multimodal transport and other Freight forwarding assignments (applying to Scandinavia)
NSAB 2000 and NSAB 2015 are agreed documents drawn up in cooperation with a number of Nordic central organisations, representing transport purchasers, and the Nordic Association of Freight Forwarders including the Danish Freight Forwarders Association.
As a member of the Danish Freight Forwarders Association, all services performed by Blue Water in Scandinavia are subject to the general Conditions of the Nordic Association of Freight Forwarders - NSAB 2000 or NSAB 2015.
NSAB have for almost a century served as an underlying set of rules regulating the terms and conditions between transport purchaser and Freight forwarder - the Freight forwarder's liability, the orderer's obligations, limitation of liability, claims and time-barring.
NSAB 2000 and NSAB 2015 are supplements to the acts and conventions regulating the individual modes of transportation such as the CMR Law, the Merchant Shipping ACT and the Civil Aviation Act.
A revision of NSAB 2000 has been performed recently and the follow-up NSAB 2015 became effective as of 1 January 2016.
Agreements entered into as of 1 January 2016 or later will be subject to NSAB 2015 if this has been agreed between the parties. Otherwise the agreeement shall be regulated by NSAB 2000.
